Angelina Mitescu

have to be shut, lids glued

it would be less convincing
if they stared back:
human eyes, tricky to work with

Angelina confesses: "My aim for this poem was to slowly unsettle the reader with each line until finally coming to a close. It is inspired by indie horror films and my unrelenting fear of mannequins."
