James Sallis has published 14 novels and hundreds of short stories and poems in addition to literary criticism, a major biography of Chester Himes, and translations, such as that of Raymond Queneau’s novel
Saint Glinglin. He is also a musician, performing regularly in the U.S. and abroad both solo and with the band Three-Legged Dog.
