Gerald So, Voice of The Five-Two

After co-publishing The Lineup annual chapbooks (2008–11), Gerald created The Five-Two as more frequent, more interactive presentation of crime poetry.

He holds a B.A. in English from Hofstra University and an M.A. in creative writing from Queens College/CUNY. He taught English at Hofstra for six years (1998–2004).

A member of the Academy of American Poets and freelance reviewer of crime fiction, television, and film, Gerald previously served as Short Mystery Fiction Society vice president (2012–2014), president (2008–10), and fiction editor for Kevin Burton Smith's Thrilling Detective Web Site (2001–09). After learning how to preserve The Lineup's poetry in ebook form, he published an ebook of his own poetry, We Might Have.

Kieran Shea scratches at the eight ball of crime fiction like a lot of sordid lots. He divides his time between Annapolis, Maryland and Ocean City, New Jersey.

Steve Weddle

Steve Weddle holds an MFA in creative writing from Louisiana State University and works for a newspaper group in Virginia, where he lives with his family. In 2009, Weddle and six crime fiction writers created DoSomeDamage.com. In 2010, Weddle and John Hornor Jacobs created Needle: A Magazine of Noir. His website is steveweddle.com.

John Stickney

Randall Watson

Randall Watson is the author of Las Delaciones del Sueño, published by the Universidad Veracruzana in Xalapa, Mexico, and The Sleep Accusations, the recipient of the 2004 Blue Lynx Prize in Poetry at Eastern Washington University Press. He is also the author of Petals, winner of the 2006-07 Quarterly West Novella Competition, and the editor of The Weight of Addition: An Anthology of Texas Poetry, published by Mutabilis Press.

Mary Agnes Dalrymple

Mary Agnes Dalrymple's poems have appeared in numerous publications, including The Baltimore Review, Fox Cry, Haight Ashbury Literary Journal, The Comstock Review, Front Range Review, Limestone, Green Hills Literary Lantern, G.W. Review, The Louisville Review, Pennsylvania English, Roanoke Review, Texas Poetry Calendar (2009 and '10), and The Texas Observer.

Mary's poetry collections are "Water Tender: A Memoir in Poems" (Fithian Press, 2003) and "Rosa Mystica: Poems from the Rosary and Other Poems" (MaryAnka Press, 2004).

Charles Harper Webb

Charles Harper Webb is a rock singer turned psychotherapist and Professor of English at California State University-Long Beach.  He has published ten collections of poetry and edited three anthologies of poetry.

Thomas Michael McDade

Thomas Michael McDade was born and raised in Pawtucket, Rhode Island. He served two hitches in the U.S. Navy and graduated from Fairfield University, Fairfield, Connecticut. A resident of Monroe, Connecticut, McDade is married without children or pets.

J.J. Steinfeld

Canadian fiction writer, poet, and playwright J. J. Steinfeld lives hidden away on Prince Edward Island, where he is patiently waiting for Godot’s arrival and a phone call from Kafka. J.D. Smith

J.D. Smith has published two collections of poetry, one children's book and most recently the essay collection Dowsing and Science. His fiction has appeared in Demolition, Out of the Gutter, Pulp Pusher and Thug Lit and has been anthologized in Volumes 5 and 6 of The Mammoth Book of Best New Erotica. His neo-noir play "Dig," optioned for film adaptation, was produced in June 2010 at London's Old Red Lion Theatre. Stephen Jay Schwartz

Los Angeles Times bestselling author Stephen Jay Schwartz spent a number of years as the Director of Development for filmmaker Wolfgang Petersen, where he helped develop such films as Air Force One, Outbreak, and Bicentennial Man.  He is the author of the dark, crime thrillers Boulevard and Beat. Chad Rohrbacher

Chad has published poetry in places like NYQ, Sunstone, Red River Review, Faultline, and others. His fiction and has been published most recently in A Twist of Noir, Flash Fiction Offensive, and Needle Magazine. He's been awarded an Ohio Arts Council fellowship and Louisiana Division of the Arts grant for his poetry.

Nancy Scott

Nancy Scott is the current managing editor of U.S.1 Worksheets, the journal of the U.S.1 Poets’ Cooperative in New Jersey. She is the author of two books of poetry, Down to the Quick (2007) and One Stands Guard, One Sleeps (2009) published by Plain View Press, and two chapbooks, A Siege of Raptors (Finishing Line Press, 2010) and Detours & Diversions (Main Street Rag, 2011) For decades she worked on behalf of abused and neglected children, as a caseworker for the State Division of Youth and Family Services, licensed foster parent, and advocate for changing archaic adoption laws. She is parent to three adopted bi-racial children, who had been in foster care.

Keith Rawson

Keith Rawson is a little known pulp writer who lives in the alkaline desert wastelands of southern Arizona with his wife and very energetic daughter. His stories have appeared in such publications as Plots with Guns, Pulp Pusher, CrimeWAV.com, Bad Things, Powder Burn Flash, A Twist of Noir, Beat to a Pulp, Needle, Out of the Gutter, and many others. He is a frequent contributor to BSCreview, a staff writer for Spinetingler, and along with Cameron Ashley and Liam Jose he edits and publishes Crimefactory.

Peter Meinke

Author of nine poetry books, six chapbooks, and long affiliated with Eckerd College in St. Petersburg, Florida, in 2009 Peter Meinke was appointed the first Poet Laureate of St. Petersburg.

Laura LeHew

Laura LeHew is an award winning poet with 250 poems appearing over 100 national and international journals and anthologies such as Alehouse, Filling Station, Gargoyle Magazine, Pank, Perceptions and Uncanny Valley. Her chapbook, Beauty, published by Tiger’s Eye Press in 2009, is in its third printing. Laura received her MFA in writing from the California College of the Arts, writing residencies from Soapstone and the Montana Artists Refuge, interned for CALYX Journal and was nominated for a Pushcart prize. Laura is on the board of the Oregon State Poetry Association and the steering committee of the Lane Literary Guild. She edits Uttered Chaos and was a guest editor for The Medulla Review. She has one husband, eight cats, and never sleeps.
