Soon after graduating from the Lowell Technological Institute, Michael Casey was drafted into the U.S. Army and served as a military policeman in Missouri and Quang Ngai Province, South Vietnam. In 1972, Stanley Kunitz selected Obscenities, Casey's poetry about the Vietnam war, for the Yale Younger Poets series. His book Millrat is available from Adastra Press in Easthampton, Massachusetts.
